Published about 1 month ago • 1 min read

Hi Reader,

I hope you had a great Easter.

This week's video is a reminder that even though it's important to embrace failure, knowing the difference between those that help and those that don't is critical.

Also, stay tuned next week for more info on my new course.

Recommendations

This week's recommendations build on the idea of intelligent failures. I hope you find them helpful.

Achieving Outcome Independence During Performance - Admired Leadership Field Notes. One of my mantras is to focus on effort, not outcomes. This article uses the term "outcome independence." Read this if you want to make a difference in the world.

The Key Trait That Separates High Achievers by Jason Lew. This is written for people trying to build a business, but the principle is the same. It takes time to make an impact. Words to live by.

Speaking of which, here's some bonus coverage. It's one of my blog posts, Impact Takes Time, from pandemic times, that shows how two people worked decades to develop biotech that was instrumental in the COVID vaccine. I'm grateful for what I've learned from their efforts.

Podcast

Episode 272 of The Non-Anxious Leader Podcast, 6 Things You Need to Do to Be a Non-Anxious Leader, is now available.

That's it for this week. Thanks for reading.

Peace,

Jack
